The Felted Fleece

About us

I breed Teeswater sheep up on the Pennines in Cumbria.

Once a year sheep must be sheared for welfare reasons, this takes a few minutes (i use a local professional shearer) he is kind and careful with my sheep.

I use these fleeces and fleeces from other local flocks to make into beautiful items, for you, your home and pets.

A few things we’re great at

Sheep Welfare

no animals are injured in the making, infact their welfare is cared for-they get sheared, then they go back into the fields to do sheepie things & grow another fleece for next year

All power used is renewable

All our outbuildings are off grid and we rely on solar power-so i only work if the sun is shining. Plus our little collie is also called Solar and you can see here she is recharging.

Other suppliers

I do buy in fleeces from other farms and backing fibre for the fleeces, these are all sourced as local as possible-but always British!

meet some of the team

of course there is me, however all creatures play a role in the production of fleece, the farm and workshops
